About me

Hi there! This is just a bit of information about me, and why you might want to consider joining our English school, or 英語塾. I was born in Middlesbrough, North-East England. I spent a few years living in Bahrain as a child, and spent the rest of my childhood and teens in Yorkshire.

I’ve been teaching English for over 15 years now, to all age groups. I have taught EFL English (English as a Foreign Language, also ESL, English as a Second Language)  to groups of all sizes, from one-on-one lessons to groups of 30 or more.
I have enjoyed, and continue to enjoy teaching at Daniel’s English Club! Whether you need help with pronunciation and intonation, grammar, vocabulary, test preparation, or listening, I can help. Let's begin!

In my free time I like to read books, watch TV, especially dramas and documentaries. I follow Middleborough FC and also Hull City football club. Check them out, if your are into football in any way! I’m interested in the news and follow it both in Japan and overseas, especially UK news. I like to keep active, whether that be walking, cycling or sometimes jogging! When I have the time I travel, new places are always fun to find!

I attended secondary school at Beverley Grammar School, Beverley, East Yorkshire. I particularly enjoyed English classes at school, both language and literature.

I went to the nearby University of Lincoln  and attained a degree in 2002 in Business and
